The hackers returned $ 26 million in Ethereum stolen during the ICO project CoinDash

The hackers that stole more than 43.000 Ethereum potential investors of the project CoinDash, returned most of the money to startups.

The company announced that 30.000 Ethereum was transferred in two transactions. The first occurred in September 2017 and the second in last Friday. At the time of publication of this article the total value of these tokens is slightly more than $ 26 million.

Hackers still not returned 13.400 tokens (about 11.6 million U.S. dollars).

About the attack first became known in mid-July 2017, when a hacker managed to hack the site to raise funds for the project CoinDash, replacing the official ethereum address. Users believed that they buy tokens and, thus, supports the project, but more than 2,000 of them actually sent money to the hacker.

At that time the total value of the stolen tools was estimated at 10.3 million dollars.

Investors, who as a result of the attack transferred money to the wallet hacker, received a token from CDT CoinDash, although those who transferred the money after stopping the operation of the site the token is not received.

Despite this incident CoinDash intend to launch its first product on February 27. This product is a social trading platform, which will integrate with multiple cryptocurrency exchanges including Poloniex, Bittrex and Binance.
