The Communists at the conference on bitcoin in China: Mao Zedong “rose” from the dead to thank members

The importance of China in the development of cryptocurrency and the ICO cannot be underestimated. The organizers of the conference Block Chain Boao Forum, which was launched on Hainan island, understand this.

But, unfortunately for the visitors, the organizers were very specific vision of the event. For some reason they decided that the “resurrected” Mao Zedong, broadcasting from the stage is a great idea to start the conference

Photos and video of the incident rapidly spread through social networks Weibo and WeChat. The participants tell that the actor said a few words at the end stating:

“I sincerely wish this conference a big success [ … ] and I want to thank you on behalf of Mao Zedong”.

Uuuups… Although the old adage says —”notorious, too, glory,” in China this does not work, and the government seems to be puzzled in earnest.

However, despite the inevitable comments and complaints about “lack of respect” to the heritage of Mao, much of the criticism was directed at the obvious attempt of the organizers to link the conference with the Boao Forum for Asia — an annual event held in the same city. It is worth noting that one of the speakers at the Boao Forum for Asia was China’s President, XI Jinping.

Such antics felt so shameless that the media, investment funds, blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency enthusiasts just trying to emphasize that he did not participate in the forum.

As for the organizers of the conference, they immediately apologized:

“We regret the negative impact of our events to the public. We will try to conduct the conference according to the highest standards “.
