Company Bitfury Group said that it has developed a new, more efficient chip for mining bitcoins.
In particular, in his blog, the company said that Bitfury Clarke (ASIC) “provides maximum performance among the chips for bitcoin mining and is unmatched in efficiency.”
The new chip is designed to work with SHA256 algorithm, energy efficiency is equal to 55 mW at gigaherz and Hasrat comes to 120 wahahaha per second.
In his statement CEO Valery Vavilov said that the development of this ASIC and the company took into account all factors affecting its operation and effectiveness: the effectiveness of chips, optimal power distribution, thermal design, etc..
He also added that:
We think that this approach ensures the most optimal equipment for our customers regardless of the size of the ASIC.
New ASIC can quickly switch between tasks, one task buffer can do SHA256 calculations, while another may handle other tasks.
