A new smartphone called the Exodus will appear in October.
For anybody not a secret that HTC is experiencing not the best times. This company knows how to make good smartphones, but the quarterly loss and the departure of President of mobile lines have a negative impact on the entire company. HTC is desperately trying to get back in line and announced the creation of a smartphone on the blockchain.
According to The Next Web, the blockchain smartphone from HTC will be named Exodus, and the launch, according to preliminary data, is planned for October. Exodus is equipped with a versatile purse for working with a variety of cryptocurrencies, and special technology will allow him to launch and run decentralized applications.
In addition, all phones Exodus will also act as the node’s own blockchain network from HTC.
Phil Chen (the Creator of the Vive headset from HTC), who became the head of project Exodus, said:
We are pleased to announce that Exodus will support protocols for all major cryptocurrencies and related technologies: Bitcoin, Lightning Networks, Ethereum, Dfinity, and others. The price of new HTC smartphone is not yet known, but we already know that in addition to classic methods of payment the company will accept the cryptocurrency.
