Chinese search giant Baidu launches a Blockchain platform-as-a-Service

Chinese search giant Baidu has launched its own platform for blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS).

Based on technology developed by Baidu, open platform offers users a convenient to use blockchain services.

As stated on a special website of the company “Baidu Trust” the platform enables and keep track of transactions and can be used in a wide variety of options: digital currency, digital billing, management of Bank loans, financial audit management insurance and much more.

Baidu claims that the technology is already used in securitization and swap assets, and argues that her practices were used in the creation of the first product to work with assets on the blockchain.

Trying to catch up with Baidu, another Chinese Internet conglomerate Tencent, which has launched its package of services based on this innovative technology.

In April 2017, the company said it will use a technology called “TrustSQL” for digital asset management, authentication and other services.

Despite the fact that Baidu a bit late with the launch of the BaaS platform, Baidu was one of the first companies that started to accept bitcoin. In October 2013, it was announced that the company accepts payment in bitcoins for Jiasule service, which improves performance, speed and security web sites.
