Brisbane airport in Australia will soon become the first cryptocurrency with the airport terminal.
As a result of cooperation of administration of the airport with local and international companies, shops, cafes and restaurants in the terminal will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash and other cryptocurrencies.
The transition to a digital currency makes sense for the airport, as the number of cryptocurrency investors is constantly growing.
Roel Hellemons, senior Manager strategic planning and development of the airport, said about this:
“Many people around the world earn money investire in cryptocurrency. Many of them are traveling to different countries, so it makes sense to offer them in our terminals the ability to use cryptocurrency”.
The airport authority announced a partnership with cryptocurrency payment system TravelbyBit, which will allow travelers to pay with digital currencies.
This step once again confirms the loyalty of the authorities of Australia to the cryptocurrency and the introduction of the digital payment methods in the country. The openness of the Australian policy may be an extremely attractive factor for cryptocurrency investors of China and South Korea, where regulation in this sphere becomes tougher with each passing day.
