Coinbase has denied the rumors about adding a Ripple

Coinbase announced that at the moment it will not add any new altcoins to its platform and flagship on their cryptocurrency exchange GDAX.

In a post on the company blog, which currently allows clients to buy, sell, Deposit, etc., bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, and more recently, Bitcoin and Cash, recalled its order of adding new assets.

In the publication mentioned last year’s message entitled Digital Asset Framework that GDAX outlined the criteria it will follow when considering whether to add a new token or crypto-currency on their services. In addition, the company stated that:

At the moment we have not made a decision about adding additional assets in GDAX or Coinbase. Any representation to the contrary is invalid.

This message came in response to rumors that the exchanger intends to add soon the token Ripple XRP.

Over the last few weeks the price of XRP was rising, reaching a record high of 3.84 dollar on Thursday, according to the website CoinMarketCap. Just three weeks ago the token was trading for less than a dollar.

The price of XRP at the moment is 3.34 US dollar, but the token remains in second place in the ranking of cryptocurrencies.
